Very clever idea on the part of the parents. I wonder if you could integrate this meaningfully into the gameplay without spoiling the enjoyment of the game.

Sigh. (Yes, I typed “Genea.” Very non-neutral. Fixed now.)
Does this game come with a rating? Anyone who should be playing the game should know the difference between real and not real. This is up to the parents supervision.
I would certainly presume that a 13-year-old capable of understanding the Geneva convention would also understand that he’s not killing real people when he plays a video game – but I suppose I don’t have any research to back that up.
