Nicholas Stedman’s Blanket is a robotic sculpture in the form of a blanket that crawls around a space, finds people there and crawl over to and on top of them, “like a pet.” The blanket is equipped with a wireless…

Andrew -- Yes, I probably should have mentioned Facade, which I greatly enjoyed experiencing for the first time, and which I'm looking forward to exploring at further length soon. I hope also to be able to spend a couple of weeks on the project next semester with my intro to new media studies students. At some point, I'd also like to talk you and Michael into a visit. There were also a few other e-lit-style projects -- but there could have been a lot more representation of narrative forms. I have no idea if the organizers got many submissions along those lines, though I'm sure they turned down at least a few.

Scott, great writeup and photos, thanks. On your final paragraph about the dearth of e-lit at ISEA, in case anyone’s coming to this article by an external link and doesn’t regularly read this blog, for the record our interactive drama Façade was exhibited on the SEA part of the conference (1 2).
